Dreamweaver 8.0 Crashes on Windows Vista

It has been reported that Dreamweaver 8.0 might crash or freeze on some Windows Vista systems while browsing for files. This is caused by Office Groove that bundled with Office 2007 Ultimiate. To resolve this, you simply need to uninstall MS Office Groove. According to Adobe’s website, this issue will be resolved in the next Dreamweaver release (Spring, 2007) since Dreamweaver 8 was released long before the debut of Windows Vista and Office 2007.
Here’s a complete instruction on how to uninstall Office Groove 2007 component within Windows Vista:

1. Choose Start > Control Panel.
2. Click “Pograms/Uninstall”.
3. Select “Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007″.
4. Click the Change button.
5. When the Office setup wizard opens, select Add Or Remove Features.
6. Click the drop-down menu next to Microsoft Office Groove and select Not Available.
7. Proceed with the Groove uninstall.
8. Done.

Hard Drive Problems

What does a "Code 04" error mean?

f you receive a "Code 04" error when trying to set up an account for online processing of a certain credit card type, this means that your merchant account isn't properly set up for that card type in the First Data database. When you add a payment processor Yahoo! automatically tests which payment options your account is set up to use. Those payment options will be displayed in your checkout pages and associated with the correct payment processor

To resolve a "Code 04" error, you need to contact your merchant account provider to make sure they have set up your account in the First Data database for that card type.

You will not be able to associate a payment option such as Visa or MasterCard with a payment processor that is not set up to process that card type. After contacting your payment processor directly and adding new card types to your account, you can then associate the new card types with your processor. From the Store Manager, click the Payment Center link. Click the Payment Options button and then click the link in the Payment Processor column for the card type you wish to associate. A dialog box will appear from which you can select your payment processor.

While it's unusual, every once in a while we'll find that a case switch has gone bad. It's unusual because there really aren't many moving parts with an ATX case switch that can go bad. With that said, it does happen. This tutorial will explain how to diagnose a problem ATX case switch.

Once installed, a motherboard is difficult to gain access to. There are cables, drives, fans, memory and other components that make troubleshooting the switch difficult. While you can keep most of these components in, we recommend at least removing any IDE cables that make it difficult to see.

Bypass motherboard case switch

The grouping of pins are where the case interfaces with the motherboard. There will normally either be one solid grouping of wires, which is common in major brand PCs. But in custom computers you will usually see numerous wires, some labled HDD LED, Reset SW, Speakers, PW Switch, etc... Refer to your motherboard manual when connecting these.

We have removed all of the wires to demonstrate how to jump the pins that start the PC. Look for the leads that indicate PW Switch or Power SW and remove them. This will expose two pins. Touch the tip of a flathead screwdriver to these exposed pins and you will normally be able to start the computer.

If the power supply or motherboard is bad, the PC will not start. This technique is often only used when troubleshooting a case switch or benchtesting a computer that does not have a case.

Be sure to excercise extreme caution when poking around inside of a PC with the power connected.
