After installing my wireless mouse, screensaver not works

The reason this is happening is due to the software that was installed that came with your Microsoft wireless mouse. It could be either:

*CyberLink PowerDVD
*CyberLink PowerCinema

Apparently there is some sort of negative interaction between the PCMService.exe program and either of the two listed programs. The result of this interaction causes the idle-related features not to function. The idle-related features I am referring to are:

*Screen Saver
*Standby
*Hibernate
*Power Management

For a work-a-round for this issue, please follow one of the two methods listed below:

Method #1:

Disable thePCMService.exe program in the Microsoft Configuration Utility:

1.Go to Start
2.Select Run
3.Type in: msconfig
4.Click OK
5.Select the Startup tab
6.Find the PCMService item in the list, then click the checkbox next to the PCMService item to clear the checkbox
7.Select Apply
8.Exit MSCONFIG and restart your computer when prompted

Note: To access the Configuration Utility in Windows Vista. Go to Start. In the Search field, type in: System Configuration. Open the System Configuration utility from the list of programs. You may be asked for an Administrators password. Follow steps 5 - 8 above.

Method #2:

Remove the PowerDVD software from Add/Remove Programs:

1.Go to Start
2.Select Run
3.Type in: appwiz.cpl
4.Click OK
5.Find PowerDVD in the currently installed programs list
6.Click PowerDVD to select it
7.Select the Change/Remove button
8.Follow all of the onscreen prompts to uninstall the program

Note: To access Add/Remove Programs in Windows Vista. Go to Start. In the Search field, type in: Add Remove Programs. Open Add Remove Programs from the list of programs. You may be asked for an Administrators password. Follow steps 5 - 8 above.

[The above methods Apply to Windows XP and Windows Vista]
